We specialize in offering effective, science-backed solutions, including prescription medications like GLP-1s, to support your health journey. Our service provides a simple, end-to-end experience, from online screening and telehealth evaluations with licensed doctors to medication fulfillment through accredited pharmacies. With ongoing support and personalized wellness resources, Alan Health makes it easy and convenient to take control of your health—all for one monthly price.
Alan Health is open to everyone regardless of gender. To use Alan Health, you must be:
• 18 years of age or older.
• Qualified for treatment based on the professional assessment of our doctors.
• Be located in one of the states we service.
Alan Health works in three simple steps:
1. Apply Online – Answer a few questions so we can learn about your goals and determine if you’re eligible.
2. Doctor Evaluation – Complete a detailed intake form for review by a board-certified doctor, who will recommend a personalized, medication-assisted treatment plan.
3. Get Ongoing Support – If prescribed, your medication will be delivered in 3 days or less from our vetted pharmacy partners. You'll also receive ongoing care, expert support, tailored resources, and progress tracking to help you succeed.
No, Alan Health is not a substitute for your primary care provider. Our prgrams are designed to complement your overall healthcare, not replace it. We encourage you to keep your primary care provider informed about your program to ensure a holistic approach to your health.
Weight loss results vary based on individual factors like metabolism, lifestyle, and adherence to the treatment plan. Your doctor will work with you to track your progress each month and make adjustments as needed to help you achieve your goals.
Pricing & Payments
We understand that navigating payment options can be a hassle. At Alan, while we don’t accept insurance, we’ve worked hard to make our program affordable. We're committed to providing you with quality care that’s both effective and economical. However, you may be eligible for reimbursement via your FSA or HSA provider.
Both FSAs (Flexible Savings Accounts) and HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) allow you to set aside pre-taxed dollars from your paycheck to use for eligible medical expenses.
The full amount of your medical expenses are eligible for reimbursement. Exactly how much you get reimbursed depends on funds available in your FSA (Flexible Savings Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account). Please follow the guidelines and terms/conditions of your specific plan.
The average savings is 30% based on average state and federal tax rates.
We do not accept HSA/FSA cards at checkout, however, we provide detailed receipts post-purchase that you can submit directly for reimbursement.Alan customers can visit the "My Orders" tab in your portal to find your receipt (link here). From there, you can download your receipt and follow your HSA/FSA provider's reimbursement instructions.
If you need assistance with your receipt or documentation, please contact our customer care team at help@alanmeds.com.
Telemedicine
All doctors on the Alan Health platform are board-certified and have extensive experience in their areas of expertise, including weight management. To ensure you get care as quickly as possible, we match you with an available doctor at the time of your appointment. Once you sign up and complete onboarding, you'll be introduced to your doctor and receive their full bio.
Your prescription will be filled at an accredited pharmacy that Alan Health partners with, or you can choose to have it filled at any licensed pharmacy of your preference. If you opt for a pharmacy outside of Alan Health’s network, you’ll be responsible for the price charged by that pharmacy.
Payment is collected upfront to secure your appointment with a provider who will assess your eligibility for treatment. If the doctor determines you’re not a candidate for your selected program, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee.
Medication
Compounding is the process of creating a medication that’s tailored to the needs of an individual patient. For example, some patients may need a medication in liquid form when the FDA-approved drug comes in a tablet. Additionally, a pharmacy can compound medications of FDA-approved drugs that are listed on the FDA’s shortage list.
Compounded drugs are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies that meet federal and state requirements, including quality standards. When compounding in compliance with federal and state law, compounded drugs are not subject to FDA approval and are not evaluated for safety or efficacy. See here for a detailed compounded semaglutide guide.
Compounded medications through Alan Health' partner pharmacies undergo rigorous manufacturing processes and quality assurance measures. Each batch of products undergoes testing for sterility and potency. Our pharmacy partners also conduct quality audits on FDA registered API vendors to ensure the quality of the ingredients.
GLP-1 medication can take several weeks to be effective. Each batch of medication is tested by our pharmacy partners to ensure it meets criteria and is dosed accurately. In terms of dosing, we follow the same dosing titration schedule as name brand medications (like Ozempic® & Wegovy®). If you have specific questions about your dosage or dosage amount, we encourage you to reach out directly via the Alan portal!
Compounded medications are not the same as a generic version. Generic versions of medications generally require the manufacturer to apply for FDA-approval by establishing that the generic is bio-equivalent to the brand name drug. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are compounded only pursuant to a specific prescription or if a drug is listed on the FDA’s shortage list by a compounding pharmacy with the right facility and environment to comply with applicable state and federal rules required prior to dispensing a compounded medication.

In most cases, your medication should remain safe and effective, even if exposed to warm conditions during shipping. Studies have shown that compounded GLP-1 medication injections typically remain stable when exposed to temperatures as high as 104°F (40°C) for up to three days. If your vials feel warm to the touch upon arrival, they can usually still be used as long as you promptly refrigerate them at 36-46°F (2-8°C) once received.
However, if your medication arrives hot to the touch or you have any concerns about its condition, please contact us immediately. We will assess the situation and, if necessary, replace your medication at no additional cost to ensure your treatment remains safe and effective. Please note that while we take every precaution to ensure the safe delivery of your medication, we cannot guarantee that it will not be exposed to extreme temperatures during shipping due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions or carrier delays.
Your health and satisfaction are our top priorities. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at help@alanmeds.com.
Account Management
For monthly plans:
You will be charged for your first month when you sign up. If your doctor does not approve you for medication, you will automatically receive a full refund.
After your program begins, you’ll be automatically charged each month to continue receiving medication. You can view the specific date for your next order in your portal at alanmeds.com/login.
To prevent interruptions, billing occurs approximately three weeks after your delivery each month, allowing time for your monthly medical check-in and ensuring the pharmacy has sufficient time to prepare and ship your next order.
For multi-month commitment plans:
You will be charged for the full plan duration at sign-up. If your doctor does not approve you for medication, you will automatically receive a full refund.
After your program begins, your plan will automatically renew at the end of each commitment period to ensure uninterrupted access to your medication. You will be charged for the next cycle at that time. You can view the specific date for your next renewal in your portal at alanmeds.com/login.
If you’d like to cancel your subscription, please do so at least 3 business days before your next billing cycle by contacting us at help@alanmeds.com or reaching out through the Alan Health portal. Once a medical review has been submitted and your order is being processed, we’re unable to cancel it, and you’ll be responsible for the associated charges. For additional details, please review our refund policy.
We offer both no-commitment, cancel-anytime plans and longer commitment options at discounted pricing, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your wellness goals. We’re here to help you achieve lasting results on your terms!
Alan Health proudly offers transparent pricing, meaning your price remains the same at every dose with no hidden fees. If your doctor determines that a higher dose is appropriate for you, your medication will be adjusted accordingly at no additional cost.
If you have questions about your dosage, your doctor is available through the Doctor Chat tab in your Alan portal at alanmeds.com/login.
Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds or accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale, and all sales are final.
However, if you feel we have made an error in the filling of your prescription, please contact us help@alanmeds.com
